“Fleur & Flamme” – An exhibition of contrasts
Explore the world of Fleur & Flamme at DISKUS, where artists Els Moerenhout (°1967), Benny Berckmoes (°1949), and Liesbeth Marit (°1979) come together to present an unusual dialogue between softness and intensity.
Liesbeth Marit captures the pivotal moment of the exhibition’s title in her photos, whether it is a blossom suddenly opening or flames transforming. She creates images that exude tension, where characters hold their breath and find themselves in outlandish worlds or secret landscapes.
Liesbeth Marit showcases her narrative approach as a photographer with photo prints, light boxes, and text fragments. The dark space becomes a cinematic installation, breaking through the facade of the understandable to reveal the wonderful. She takes you on a visual journey in which the boundary between reality and fiction blurs.
